FAQ

Can I put more than one LP or cassette on a CD?
No. All albums are recorded in their entirety and then copied to a CD.
The only exception is for double albums that still fit on a single CD and for 45's (in which each side is considered a single track.

If my LP record is scratched or cracked can you fix it?
If a thorough cleaning will fix the scratch then yes, otherwise we will inform you that the scratch is beyond repair and what options are available at that time.
If your album is cracked we can make an attempt to hold the crack together as we record the album, but again, it will depend on the severity of the crack and condition of the album itself.

Can you record 78's
Unfortunately due to the fragile nature of 78's and the potential of damage during shipping we do not record 78's.

I only want certain songs from an album to be recorded. Can this be done?
Because of copyright legalities we only allow the entire album to be rrecorded. The songs on the MP3 CD are individual tracks, but contain the entire album.

Do you do normalization on the recordings?
Yes, every recording is normalized so that it's output level is similar to the rest of the tracks on the album.

I have a cassette of a LP record I recorded, can you make a copy of that?
No. Copyright legalities prevent us from making copies of anything other than original recordings. All media must be original and owned by the person requesting the copy.

What about 45's and cassette singles? How are those handled?
Each side of a 45 and cassette single is considered a single track. This is one case where you could record more than one "album on a CD. Both sides of the 45 MUST be recorded, but you can combine multiple 45's onto a single CD.

Do you keep a copy of the albums you record?
We only keep recordings for 30 days after the final recording for the purpose of recreating the CD in case of the very slim chance that the recording is damaged or lost during shipment. We do monitor the output during the recording process to ensure there are no technical issues during the recording process.
